Last week of school!

I guess that's a happy thing around here for most. I am looking forward to having the boys around all the time, MOSTLY. I think Rylee is the most excited to have them home to play with her. Not sure that's their idea of summer vacation... playing house, Polly Pocket, hide and seek (actually they do like that one.) We just finished dinner and I have to tell you dad, I only ate one helping of mashed potatoes. I believe that's the first time in my life I've done that. That was VERY VERY hard! Leaving the garlic bread and brownies alone was almost as hard. I'm trying to not have white stuff for 2 weeks. I get a dollar for each day I can do it. Blake thinks I should give him a dollar a day also. I should, I don't think I'd lose too much money. No one else has wanted to try.... anyone out there? We had interesting church today. 8 Seniors talked, we had a musical number and there was still several minutes left, so the bishop stood up and said that was good, he had something to say. He is going to be released next week. It was funny, it was quiet before that, but it seemed like everyone quit breathing. Stillness in the air. Should be interesting to see how a new bishopric will change things up. Jacob is really happy right now, and miserable. He broke his sneezing record, 13. Yea Jacob. We all have our accomplishments. I hope by writing about our life you all don't think we are strange. Tanner thinks so. Oh well, it's just my way of distracting myself away from the brownies.. they seem to be calling me. did you hear them? maybe it's just in my head. We didn't have a lot of excitement this week. We actually had a night with no plans. The kids kept asking what we were going to do. I guess we must have an activity. So, we ate smoothies and popcorn for dinner and watched National Treasure 2. It was a fun night. They thought dinner was a trick. It was yummy. We decided to list our (other) house with a realtor. Hard pill to swallow, but it was getting to be too much for my stress load. Hopefully now it will go away very quickly. Tuesday will be fun, our A/C guys are going to start. YEAHOO! Maybe I should have waited till July and I'll appreciate it even more. Tanner has a job interview coming up this week at a dry cleaners. Maybe he can do his own laundry now. :) Weird to think he is that old. I guess I have carried on long enough now. must get away from the chocolate devil....have a Super Memorial Day everyone! May Days

I told my boys last week they had to do my blog since it was mother's day. Blake is a good boy and listened, Tanner, on the other hand... Ok, he's a good boy too. But I guess he had nothing to say. I hope you all had a great Mother's day....I for one am glad it's only one day a year. We decided to get air conditioning installed finally. So we had bids coming in all week. Chad and I have never had air conditioning so this will be interesting. I am so excited! Now you can all come visit and not be miserable in cold winter or hot summer. It won't be done till next week some time, though. Tuesday, Jacob had his growing up talk at school. He really didn't want to go. I hate those. Probably not as much as he did, though. That night Tanner and Blake had their band night at school. I wish I had thought of taking the camera and videoing some for you to see. It was pretty neat, but a little long. They had 7th-12th grades play, interesting the improvement they make. Thursday Tanner had another concert. He is doing really good in band. He decided to keep going next year, easy A. I'm glad. Friday Chad and I went on a bike ride around the canyon for our date. It was really nice. Beautiful views. We don't live in the prettiest of areas, so it was fun to see some nice scenery. Saturday was Grandpa Smith's birthday!!!! Happy Birthday Dad! Chad and the older 2 boys went to Boise temple to do baptisms. Next time they do that it will be here. We can't wait to go here. 3 more months. Oh yeah, it was also Dusty's birthday saturday. Today was a nice Sunday. Nothing too exciting. A little warm, though. Supposed to have been 92 today. Last Sunday our high was about 48. I love Spring. School is coming to a close. 9 days left for the 3 younger boys, and 7 for Tanner. They are very anxious. I am not so much. How am I supposed to get any naps now? I decided to find a kickboxing class in the late afternoon, so when they start to get to me I can get all my insanity out and come home and be a happy happy mama again. Have a great week everyone! Hi

I got 21st out of 46 people on tuesday for my conference track meet.

I did the 800m in about 2 min 58 sec.The seventh grade O'leary team got first place with 185 points. the closest to us had about 85 points.

my friends and I only did the 800 meter dash. Our event lasted about 5 min. the whole meet lasted from 8:00 am to 3:45. I still had fun waiting while I was hanging out with my friends.

Like anybody reads it

I asked Tanner what I should title our blog today, So I used his words. But, I know some of you did, because you told me and some even commented on it. So there, Tanner.

This was our last full week of soccer and track. Yay! One more game then we are done. I don't know what we will do with our time. We've had beautiful weather the last 3 days, (no games) but it's supposed to get colder wed. just in time for the last soccer game.

Jacob and Reid had their piano recital tonight. They did a great job. They each played 2 songs. Chad's parents and Melissa came to support them. I love having family around. I wish my family lived closer, though.

We thought of you today, Kalauna, Gage and Brody. Hope you all had a great day celebrating him.

Well, we have nothing of much interest to say, so off I go. I was thinking how great that was that there is not much to say, just shows you we are doing good, and happy. ;) Ever notice those in the scriptures? makes us happy during family study when we notice a smile especially when it comes with a wink.

Soccer mom

Our lives seem to be overtaken by a small ball. I start to wonder how something so small can have such power over a family. Luckily we are coming to the end of it. 4 games to go. Tomorrow should be kind of nice weather for it even. Then it's supposed to be back to brrrr.



Jacob and Reid are getting ready for their piano recital. It will be on Sunday the 4th. This is the first for them. Jacob is very ready, but Reid,?? hopefully he'll get his songs memorized by then.



Tanner and Blake started practices for the "Cultural Celebration" this last week. They practice every Wed. night till the performance in August prior to the temple dedication. They can either dance or sing. There is supposedly a 3rd option they are hoping for, lighting crew. I think there will be 2,000 boys lined up for that position. Oh well, they can dream. They say Pres. Monson will be there if he can, that would be cool.



Blake had his track meet Thursday. He didn't do as well as the week before. He said he was too cold to run. Funny, I remember dad telling him to take another jacket. He has only worn long pants ONE time this whole school year. He claims he never gets cold. He makes me cold most days just looking at him, especially at soccer games.



While Blake was freezing at track, the rest of us were at Jacob's Arrow of Light ceremony. Good Job Jacob! He's been working hard to get this award for cub scouts. He's very glad, though to be in Boy Scouts now.



We are putting a bathroom in downstairs. Someday it will be nice for visitors. Right now, it's just a couple holes in the ground and 2x4's all over. We are really hoping to have this done before you come in August, mom and dad. Chad says it will be done long before then. We'll see. :)



Blake had a big project in science he did yesterday. All the 7th graders make an insect. We stressed a little when Tanner did it, but now we are old hats at this. If only he didn't decide to wait till 3 days before it was due to start it. It's a velvet ant. I'll try to post a picture of it. Turned out pretty cool.

Today, we were able to go back to the ward we moved out of 3 years ago. It felt like we went back home. The members there are so amazing. We went to see our old babysitter's homecoming report. Amazing how people grow up.

It seems the thing to do...
